Loved welcoming in the new year on the wild welsh coast.The cottages location is amazing - beautiful walks to deserted beaches.Julia and Chris are the best hosts - warm and helpful.Really well set up for families with the indoor pool plus boring but essential travel cot/ high chair / stair gate etc.
Not much choice if you have a pet you would like to take with you.
We rented The Lodge (WAG560) to stay with my wife and newborn baby. Pictures provided are a selection of how it was presented on arrival. We arrived at 10.30pm, the local property manager number rang through and ignored our messages until morning. We had to clean for two hours to make the property safe to stay in, sleep in dirty used bed sheets then get up early and leave to allow it to be cleaned and prepped the next day. Half our 4 day holiday was ruined . We had 1 day stay refunded. Our request for a further refund declined. The house was damp (mostly through inadequate ventilation- for example no extractor in a bathroom with shower and bath), shower blocked and second room not nice to stay in even after cleaning. Microwave was broken - made feeding baby hard until fixed next day. They forgot to give us logs or lighters for the log fire until second evening. When complaining to Wales Cottages the response I got a response saying we had not treated the property with respect and had walked our dogs (by accident) on the neighbors drive which is why they were not going to make a further refund. Badly managed property.
