Whilst on holiday not far from Newtown we collected a takeaway from Canton Wok, we were really looking forward to it as they had been recommended to us via some local guys we were talking to. It wasnt good, the chicken curry was very bland and tasteless, the egg fried rice didnt have any egg in it and was also bland. The chicken chow mein was just ok, but still quite bland and no texture or crunch in the veg. The only redeeming feature was that the chicken in the curry was thigh meat which was lovely and tender. The chips werent good either. We were very disappointed especially as the shop smelled absolutely delicious when we collect our food.

Best chinese takeaway in newtown, but please move forward and take card payments... You might be losing a lot of customers?? I complained about the egg fried rice as it seemed reheated and no egg at all to be seen or tasted. They admitted their mistake and refunded our whole order of 18 pounds. This is how you know the food is mostly excellent quality. It always has been!
